Born July 1946 in Coventry and moved back to the family origins of Yorkshire in 1955.Jim arrived in Great Chishill in 1988 and joined the Parish Council in 1997.
He was an active member of the Millennium and Jubilee Committee when the villagers rallied together and achieved so many objectives including refurbishing the church bells, arranging the village party, burying the time capsule, installing the Millennium stone and the production of the Village Book. This he believes to be the finest joint achievement ever experienced by a village community. He is now retired a keen tennis player, enjoys playing guitar, watching football, cycling, photography and a social visit to the Pheasant. Like his fellow councillors his ambition is to keep Great Chishill GREAT |
