South Cambridgeshire District Council

There are currently 45 members of the District Council, representing 106 parishes and settlements.
The current composition of the Council is: 35 Liberal Democrats, 8 Conservatives and 2 Independent. Seats on most of the Council's committees are allocated to the political groups (Liberal Democrat and Conservative) on a political proportionate basis.

The political administration is Liberal Democrat, as they hold the majority of the seats on the Council.

8 councillors from the administration make up the Council Cabinet which sets the strategic and political direction of the Council.

The Leader of the Council is Councillor Bridget Smith.
