Below is the gritting schedule for winter 2010 - 2011.  Sadly New Road has been dropped this year, despite this being the school bus route.  The Parish Council has been lobbying for this to be overturned, sadly to no avail thus far.  We will continue to try and get New Road added.  Fowlemere Road in Heydon has been added for this season, which is positive as this is the dedicated emergency services route to our villages.

Some positive news - today 22nd December 2010, the Parish Council has learnt that Highways has given us permission to use local farmers to assist with snow clearance in extreme weather.  We have been working on this initiative for some time now and it is good to see a good outcome for the villages.
