Cllr Jenny Leitch
Now retired, Jenny has worked in secondary and adult education, and for a national charity, then known as ‘Crossroads’, at local, regional and national levels. This organisation provided breaks for family carers.

Jenny and family first lived in Great & Little Chishill 1976-81, arriving with toddler Elizabeth and adding Caroline and Richard to their family while living here. Observant members of the baby-sitting group spotted her pram-pushing on the Flint Cross-Barley Road and dispatched Jean Hatt to tell her about the Children’s Christmas Party, Baby-sitting Circle, Toddler Group, WI and Wine Circle!

A change in husband Don’s farm managing jobs, took the family to Buckinghamshire, then Essex, but contact with Chishill friends was always maintained and the family returned in late 1998. Jenny served on the Millennium fundraising group working to restore St Swithun’s bells to mark 2000, and enjoyed being a bell-ringer until her shoulder gave out.  She is one of Little Chishill‘s church wardens, and enjoys singing with Royston Choral Society, our occasional  Icknield Way Parish Choir and Run by Singers singing holidays.

Jenny became a Parish Council in May 2022.
